So far I've stuck with the old zoom super fluke...but I'm always open to new things. What's your go to fluke style bait?

The Fluke and Caffeine Shad were my go-to's for years. This year I've also been fishing the 6th Sense Flush and really, really like it. More durable as well.

Only ever used zoom products. Really I think the biggest difference in brands is density of product affecting fall rate etc.

It's the only one I use...

Honestly I have never even considered anything but the Zoom flukes in one form or another, dirt cheap, tons of different colors, salt contents, sizes, and I have caught piles of fish on them. I might grab a bag of a few different brands this year to experiment with just for fun.

I keep trying new brands.  I keep concluding that I like Zoom the best.

My go to bait is a zoom super fluke. Especially watermelon red , watermelon seed, watermelon slice, red shad and houdini colors.

Someone gave me a couple packs of yamamoto flukes once and they worked well also.

Have been a fluke/soft jerk bait user for decades. Once I switched to a Caffeine Shad, never looked back. A Caffeine Shad on an EWG is a good soft jerk bait - but a 5 incher on a 4/0 Owner Twistlock Light hook is other worldly.  Never seen such a natural action lure swim on its own at times so well.

Big surprise, my favorite is a Yamamoto DShad.  Little heavier than a normal fluke and made from the same plastic as a Senko.  I won’t repeat it but do a search on this site for the in depth rigging post I did.  There are valid reasons why I prefer it.

M-Pack Shad & Lake Fork Tackle Live Magic Shad

Of course Zoom's Super Fluke

Yeah, Zoom Super Fluke is hard to beat, but I picked up a pack of Big Bite Bait Jerkbaits that were like a dollar cheaper and just as good. The plastic seems a little softer, which can be good sometimes. Very limited color selection though. https://bigbitebaits.com/product/jerkbait/

Caffeine Shad is okay, but I prefer the Zoom style. Yum Houdini Shad is not bad either.

Culprit Skinny Jerk is pretty cool, but very different https://culprit.com/shop/skinny-jerk/

I’ll vote for Yamamoto D-Shad as my favorite even though I have a lot more fluke color. The weight, rate of fall and plastic is perfect for fish both fast and slow.

Super fluke is hard to beat. But my favorite for the way I like to fish soft jerkbaits is the discontinued Powerbait Jerk Shad (the one with the eyes and thicker body). When you get to slashing that bait it just has a special action. You may be able to still readily find the 'Saltwater' version online. All of them work well.

The Super Fluke and the Caffeine Shad have always produced for me.

Sluggo for me....

My vote here, but they are pricy, so I am using more zoom , Also zoom have every possible shade of every color. But when things get serious Ill go to special one (Sluggo).

Been a Super Fluke user for many years but the Z - Man Jerkz Shadz is pushing it out. Tired of of half the Flukes out of every pack being bent and needing to be boiled(straightened). The Flukes are good for 2-3 fish and the Jerkz Shadz go gor 50 -60 fish.

My issue with the ZMan is the rate of fall. Elaztech is buoyant. I am often fishing a Fluke in 5 feet of heavy current and need them to sink when rigged weightless.

I threw a 6th Sense Flush for the first time a couple of month ago because I ran out of normal Zoom Flukes that day... Now I only use Zoom Flukes if I run out of Flushes ?‍♂️

Big Bite Baits Jerk Minnow is very good and noticeably different from the fluke.  It has a heavier main body that helps with casting and thin tail that waves with the slightest motion.  A little too heavy/thick for a light wire hook, so I often throw on baitcasting gear.  They can sometimes be found in BBB sample packs at DSG or ordered direct from TW.
