Very impressed with this line. Been a power pro user for forever but couldn’t get any 10lb so picked up the sufix. Much quieter, smoother and seems to knot better than power pro. Highly recommend

I used to almost exclusively use power pro for my braided line. One time they were out of stock but they had Sufix 832, so I tried it. I liked it so well I just kept using it.

832 is my primary braid as well.

I do have a spool of Smackdown that was a gift, and if I could afford it, I'd buy more...it's that good.

I am a die-hard Sufix 832 guy also.  I'm curious, what are you using the 10lb on?  Spinning?

It's my favorite braid as well. Handles great, pretty smooth, and holds up in the rock better than any other braid I've tried.

I agree 100%. I like Sufix 832. Have it spooled on two spinning and one baitcasting reels. But I have Smackdown on one spinning reel. That is some nice braid right there. Very smooth and supple.

Well don't hesitate to go smaller with your braid if you want.  The heaviest 832 I have ever had on a spinning reel was 8lb and right now all of my spinning reels have 6lb.  I fish man-made lakes with a million snags and I fish docks, etc. and I have never had any breakage issues.  In fact I fish with leaders for all bottom contact just so I can break off at the knot if I need to.

Ok, you guys are about to cost me some money.  Now I have to try it.

I bought 3 spools of 832 last year to try based on the forums love for it...but I much prefer the original power pro.  The 832 feels stiff and oddly texture and doesn't seem to handle as well.  I did not try a 50-60lb for the frog rod and think there it might excel but the 30lb and 20lb I don't like.

You’re not going to “try it” lol. You’re going to spool it up, fish with it and say, “ Yup! My new braid!”

It’s a little more $$. But man, if you fish braid-to-leader, it’s cheap in the long run. It lasts a long time. I really like that it’s silent on the retrieve. Sufix 832 makes noise. Not severe, but it’s there.
