Anybody ever tried to make these?

Shouldn't be too hard right? I'm thinking maybe a crane swivel will be okay instead of using a BB swivel and then just some wire with a bend at the end run up inside the bait a ways. I'm planning on using them with Zman plastics so it should hold well once in place.

I feel it would be super simple. And yeah i think i would just go with a roller-bearing/crane swivel. I think i slightly slower, more wondering/fluttering action might be desirable on the fall? ??‍♂️. If I have time i’ll whip one up tonight. I’ve been turning out beetle spin style spinners.

i tried it a couple years ago and although i liked the look, it flew out after the 5th cast, and never bothered again. May try again when i get bored.

I used a screwlock screw, not like zmans.

I made a few with hitchhiker, swivel and small willow blades...screwed into a trig senko.  Never found fish that get excited about them.

A less expensive way is to use a hitchhiker and a crane swivel.

That would be great, but I'm going to use them with Zman plastics, so the hitchhiker isn't going to work.

I might try attaching the trailer keeper to a metal post and see if that will stay put.

Made one up real quick tonight, I'll give it a little test tomorrow.

Well mine looked good, but it survived one fish before it was launched onto the bank. Have to try something else to get them to hold better I guess.
