I've been waiting for it to be announced for months now.

I just ordered a new Abu Garcia Zenon MG-LTX reel and Zenon M/F rod.

Both are backordered until next month, but I'm GIDDY with excitement over it!

The reel is designed for throwing light finesse lures, which is my favorite way to fish, and all the reviews on the rods I can find report stellar sensitivity.

If the Zenon rod is better than my Fantasista-X, I'll be HIGHLY impressed, as I've let a few people use it, and one of them described it as "almost telepathically sensitive".  It took me some getting used to bc you feel EVERYthing with it.

I hope the Zenon is worth the price bump.

Fingers crossed!!!!

I just got the zenon medium light a couple weeks ago, I have a curado bfs on it with 7lb braid. I can cast 1/16 oz rapala original jerk bait with some nasty headwinds pretty far, can go lower on the weight but the wind and that small of braid don’t get along well lol. The rods are definitely good on sensitivity, I have used and owned NRX+, Conquests, GLX, Megabass, poison adrenas. I was a little skeptical paying this much for a abu rod, but so far I have been pleasantly surprised and couldn’t be happier with it. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new setup when you get it.

Sweet, let us know how you like that LTX.  I too am interested in it, but would like to read more about it before throwing down the money.  Did you order the JDM or USDM Zenon LTX?  The JDM variant has a spool similar to the Revo ALC-BF7 and LTX-BF8, which are shallow spool BFS reels.  The USDM LTX looks to have a deeper spool like the JDM Zenon MG7.

Zenon casting rig?  Haven't seen any info on the Zenon casting reels.

[edited to add]  OK, found it at TW though it's not currently shipping.  Good luck with the rig and please report back when you've had the chance to try it out.

The usdm version so it would be more versatile.
