cyclops2 Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 50 years ago fly roders had a lot of1/4" to about 3/8" cork & Balsa poppers with tail feathers. They were excellent on anything that saw them. I was using 4X tapered leaders With very fast / stiff actions. The hooks had large barbs that hampered setting the hook quickly. With longer float casts in big rivers & lakes. Quote
