Mike Halus Jr. Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Hello all. I was wondering if you guys could provide some info on my "lucky lure". No matter where i seem to go, if the fish are biting or not i always seem to catch something with it. Its getting old and beat up and I've been trying to find a replacement or 2. thanks for your time - mike Quote
river-rat Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 It looks very similar to a Smithwick Lobo that was made in the 1970's and 80's. I don't remember Smithwick ever having a color like the one shown, but I could be wrong. The Lobo has been out of production for years 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted May 23, 2022 Super User Posted May 23, 2022 Doesn’t have the classic Smithwick eyes. Looks a lot like the Lobo square bill, not a Smithwick color and agree it’s probably a 80’s vintage lure. Tom 1 Quote
Tatulatard Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 Looks like a Cotton Cordell Big O. These are still made but not in that color. You could get one of them or a suitable modern "square bill" crankbait. 1 Quote
BassHRL119 Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 Ironically I found this lure a few months ago. I never found out what brand/model. 1 Quote
