Little things about your bass boat

Hey guys...I am trying to figure out some of the "little things" that can be so important in life.  This time its about bass boats.  I wanna talk about some things that everyone might not do or know about.  Just the small stuff that keeps your boat running and looking better than the next guys.  What are some little things you do that really makes your boat stand out or make it yours!

There are so many. I'll stick with one for now. Due to the extreme heat here in the summer, I do most of my fishing after dark. I installed a pair of 4" motorcycle headlights on either side of my bow. Makes moving from one spot to another much safer.

havent done it yet, but i plan on completely re-wiring my boat to get rid of all the extra stuff currently laying all over the back.

Battery charger "towing" hook up.  Little adapter that goes along with what would be my trailer lights to pump a lil juice into the batter while the boat is in the truck to keep the battery topped of while I'm on my way to the lake.

This actually came from funny stories of having it die on me while in the lake and having to flag down random people in hopes of a tow or a jump-start =).

Fenders/bumpers.  For those occassions when you want to lay alongside another boat or dock.

Tool box, spare hub ready to slide on, and a box with all the different fuses you might need. Small floor jack & a four way lug wrench instead of the jack that comes with your truck. Makes changing a tire a breeze.

I bought my floor jack from a pawn shop for 15.00. It fits under the rear seat of my truck and stays there 100% of the time.

A Tri-Fluted River Anchor that stays tied to the bow eye with a 25' of 1/2" rope

A 50 pk of Gene Larew 7 ½ Salty Ring Worm Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage) stays behind the windshield on the console.

1 Texas rig rod & 1 Jig-N-Craw rod stays on the deck year round

Night fishing in Tennessee is common during the summer months but this type of lighting is against the law due to blinding other boaters. White light kills night vision and causes short term vision loss. While these type lights make your navigation safer it very well may endanger another boater. Please be careful with the use of these type lights.......................Al

The best thing I have done lately is put Blue Water Led lights in all my boxes. I am now thinking about putting some red deck lights on to see where my rods are laying in the dark.

2.    A small emergency kit with TP, saline solution for contacts, lip balm, reel oil, and a neon green glow stick for emergencies

3.  Hand towl that my 10 year old made for me on Fathers day for wiping your hands after the big one

Isn't that the truth, I was thinking of doing this with my dads boat, but the mess of wires is unbelievable. Half of which go no where. This is why when I buy my first boat it has to be factory new. This way I know exactly what every wire is doing, where it is going, and when something doesn't work right I know exactly where to go.

Yep. I'm aware of this. I always kill the headlights when encountering another boat and reduce speed to a crawl to anticipate their movement. You never know what someone else is going to do
