I have just acquired an aluminum v hull boat with 2 trolling motors one in back and one foot controlled one in the front. I was wondering if anyone has insight on if it possible to run both motors of one battery. Meaning I use the motor in the back to travel when I’m done traveling I would to flip a switch to kill the power the back motor and flip another switch to turn on the power for the foot controlled motor in front?

You could do it, and no need for an external a/b switch, assuming each motor has an off setting, but a single battery is probably not going to last a full day set up like that unless it's a big one in good shape.

No reason it wouldn’t work but as @Deleted account stated no need for a switch just turn off the motor your not using. Depending on how long you fish and how far you troll will determine the size battery you need.

You could install a male twist lock plug on the leads for the trolling motors and the female end on the battery

You would be better off getting a second battery.

Buy a small good used  gas motor to power the boat when the trolling motors are off.
