txchaser Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 55-59 degrees, that's big girl prespawn here... Quote
Big Hands Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 My favorite is between 80° and 85°. That's because that is the most comfortable water for me to take a swim in. Other than that, I don't worry about it too much as I have no control or even influence over water temperature. I just need to figure how I am going to catch fish on the plastics I end up throwing at least 90% of the time. 2 Quote
Super User Bankc Posted May 25, 2022 Super User Posted May 25, 2022 Mid 80's. When the water temp finally makes it into the mid 80's is usually around the same time the wind starts to die down, and I can usually go fishing whenever I want. 1 Quote
BustedSwimbait Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 As long as my internal temperature is not freezing , water temp doesn't play much in my books. 1 Quote
Ravox Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Living in Florida don’t have much choice but prefer around 70-75 right now the water must be around 200 ? Quote
Cranks4fun Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 For bigger females, March and early April (pre-spawn & temps in 50's or low 60's) in SE Virginia and SW Missouri. For numbers and an occasional bass up to 5 lbs., all summer (water temps in the 80's) dawn-9:00AM and the last two hours in the evening. I want to do more night fishing this year though to try out the 11:00PM -3:00AM slot. Did it once last year and unfortunately we fished a bad area (that's my excuse anyway ). 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 30, 2022 Global Moderator Posted May 30, 2022 I like the 45-50 for big fish and because there's fewer people on the water. 1 Quote
