I usually feel confident in learning about more obscure brands but I can’t seem to find much on iRod sticks.

Does anyone have general information like where are they made, blanks, and interesting facts?

Any standouts in the Air lineup in particular? I saw the hook up started carrying them and I’m interested.

I have a Genesis III Jr Swimbait. It's true to it's rating up up 4oz, and ticked several other boxes for me like its shorter than usual handle for a swimbait rod which is what I was looking for. All I can say otherwise is that if you're a leader guy you should check with them first as to whether or not they use micro guides on what you're interested in. I don't do braid to leader, but was still surprised to find the last 4 guides are micros on this rod.

I am a huge fan of two iRods I have. The Harold’s Lone Star Special and the Cold Stone Swim and Vibrating Jig rod. The 704C…. Meh….. I did discover that a tatula 100 is decently comfortable on it, which was a surprise to me.

im sorry I don’t have good info on blanks used or anything like that, just bought em based on recommendations.

I hear an awful lot about the Frog/Magic Stick. That is supposed to be an absolutely amazing rod

I’ve been looking at the Magic stick as a frog rod, how’s the vibrating jig rod? How moderate is the action?

I like trying new gear and have been on a made in America kick recently.

You’re gonna have to forgive me because I’m a young guy with not a lot of rods and not as much knowledge on how they work. Just being honest with ya. I think the swim and vibrating Jig rod performs like a true moderate fast. I love that rod to death. It performs really well with a variety of baits. I use it with spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, lipless cranks, and swim jigs in lighter cover. Probably the most surprising thing about the rod is how well it does with buzzbaits. I get em really good on buzzbaits with that rod. Really good bite to land ratio. But it is an awesome rod for spinnerbaits and lipless cranks too IMO. Still playing around with swim jigs. Very comfortable rod with a variety of reels. It is also surprisingly powerful. Really can knock ‘em good even with heavy wire hooks.

Yeah I don’t have that frog/magic stick rod but all I hear about it are great things.

Interesting, if it’s moderate enough to handle lipless that’s a wild range of lures. Might need to get my grubby bait monkey paws on that to try.

Well, my landing ratio is pretty good with lipless when I’ve used them, but I particularly like it for that technique because I hear guys recommend anywhere from a moderate to a jig rod for lipless (ripping grass). So IMO, a moderate fast is a good balance if you just want a rod that can be versatile.

I seriously recommend the rod. It’s awesome

Like my Stone Cold bladed jig rod. Versatile for other applications too - swim jigs, 4-5 inch paddle tails, larger underspins, single hooks, etc?

Love my Irods. I have the Lone Star, and the swimbait jr. and the Heavy swimbait rods. The reviews on TW is what got me to try them. This probably isn't much help in answering your question, but just thought I'd share my feelings on them.

As Tom mentioned, give Matt a call for specific info.

What do you use it for? Have it as well. I think it's awesome. Real good for accurate casting. Like it with a light texas rig especially

Use it for most of my lighter lures, including t rigs, and light jigs, ect.

I've fished an iRod Air 704c-H for several years now as my dedicated t-rig rod. I really appreciate the sensitivity, light weight, and cast ability. I've even punched with it in a tight and it handled 5 pounders in the slop with ease.

Bought the fred's magic stick on BR recommendation. Liked it enough that I bought my a-rig rod from them too. Anyway I'd expect their next level up is similar - great rod at that price point.
