I try to make sure the loop doesn't cinch up on the underside of the hook eye but other than that I've never worried too much about any crossover. Should I?

Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the streams.

Dr. Peter Venkman: Why?

Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.

Dr. Peter Venkman: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?

Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.

Same issues with me and the palomar. Use It for drop shot only and wish I didn’t have to.

I use improved clinch for everything and have my whole life and have never felt like It was a hindrance. That includes catching big snapper, amberjack, sting rays, and sharks, and big blue cats. So I decided a while ago when I got into bass fishing that an improved clinch can handle a bass.
