Anyone have any experience with this rod for jerkbaits? Highly considering this rod for Vision 110s, 110 Jrs

I have it and it's not bad for the price I paid ($160) but I got mine before the price increase with a coupon.  It's well made for the task and feels like a much more expensive rod. I have other rods I use for jerkbaits, like a G. Loomis 783C GLX and a St. Croix 6'8'' MF Legend Elite. These rods are much better made and the blanks are better but the Levante works well for jerkbaits. So no real complaints. It's just sometimes I feel like I should have picked up the Orochi XX instead. But again, for the price I paid, I can't beat it.

I have 2 rods I throw jerkbaits on. The one you mention and the 6'11" medium+ Poison Adrena. I like the Poison Adrena more, but it's also a higher priced rod. The Jerkbait Special does a really nice job tho, too. The only thing I don't like about it, and this is just personal preference, is the trigger is shorter than other rods. SO the way I hold it I don't feel I have AS MUCH control. Like I said, that's just me. Others I've talked to don't have an issue with it.

Also, the craftmanship is top notch. Which is to be expected from Megabass.

I didn't mention it above but you're right.  It bugs me but it's not a big deal though.  One other thing that bothers me is the grips but again not a big deal.

Yea I guess I’d expect a $500 G Loomis to outperform the $250 rod. You can go nuts on here trying to figure out what rod to buy, but at some point you gotta just go with something. I may just go for the Curado at the $160 price point. I’ve heard good things about Falcon rods as well.

Those 6'10" mediums Shimano puts out are dynamite for jerkbaits. Nice tip for imparting action and good bend for keeping them pinned. If you're already committed to that Levante budget, the Expride is very much worth looking at here.

The Expride is impossible to find unfortunately so that’s off the list. I’d like to purchase something ASAP. Even the Shimano Curado is out of stock everywhere, but at least they are supposed to be restocked by May 21

I like my St Croix rods but there is nothing better made about them vs my simiar price megabass rods.  Quite the opposite actually and that is my #1 complaint about them followed by balance.  Their actions are excellent though and thats what I really care about.

FYI - just ordered the Shimano Curado 6'10" Medium - I've heard too many good things at this price point to pass it up. Thanks for the help.
