When big banks use call centers the workers are all trained to read out of a scripted book giving them the answers to your questions. Some workers are more experienced with the book while newbies struggle to find the section you need answers to. Citi bank uses a call center in the philippines while some of my other banks are direct calls to the bank where you first go through the que but then get to speak direct to the bank employee in say kansas city state bank.
