Tatulatard Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Anyone have any feedback on these? They basically extend the reel seat out into the shape of a grip rather than using a separate grip material. I see the okuma psycho sticks do the same thing. There are very few reviews of the rods and this new grip design but I like the idea instead of using a soft spongy material for a grip that may deaden sensitivity. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 This is just a labor and materials saving move packaged as innovation. I’ve yet to find a grip material that’s a deal make or breaker. 1 Quote
Aaron_H Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I've handled them in store but not fished with them. They feel great, very comfortable and they have a slight rubberized feel to them. My youngest brother is a fan of the previous model and I've fished with them a bit and I think this grip is a step up from the old one IMO. Rods are nothing crazy but solid blanks for 80 bucks. Your mileage may vary. 1 Quote

Your mileage may vary. This is spot on. I own one of the new Vendetta casting rods. I agree with the “slight rubberized feel” I like the rod, fit and finish is outstanding for its price point. 1 Quote
