Hey guys,

im on a budget for a decent swimbait rod. I have my eyes on 13 fishing defy black and the Okuma Cessna swimbait rod. Both can hold heavy lures. Budget is no more than 100 usd. Do y’all know of any other rods that are decent and can handle a 2 oz lure?

Daiwa DX Swimbait Rod - the MH is rated for 1oz-6oz lures. Right at that $100 price-point.

You know what they say about opinions....Between my brother and myself we have a whole bunch of swim bait rods. Mostly Dobyn's Champions, some Furys, but also Daiwa, iRod, and 13. While this runs contrary to popular opinion, we both agree that the FR795SB is our least favorite. I'd go so far to say that I dislike it quite a bit. Couldn't wait to send it packing, and so did he. I'm not one voice in the wilderness either. If you have to have a Fury then I'd recommend the 806. With line choice you can throw what you need to with it and get by. A Daiwa DX is fine. The 13 Defy Black is much better than you'd think. The lighter power 13 Omen is actually very good.
