Okay, so do you clearcoat before or after painting lures, or both? Also what is the difference between clearcoating before and superglue bathing, thanks!

After. Some builders do seal wood lures before painting and then clear coat though, but that's more common in the salt.

Depends on the bait? Wood you want to seal the bait, paint it, and then clearcoat it last.
