Disappointed is too strong of a word but I am surprised that I haven’t caught a single fish on any my Deps Buzzjets… it’s starting to get to me ?

Paddle tail swim baits...I've caught very few on them and given them more time than I should have

Have you tried fishing the skinny dipper or gambler EZ weightless through cover? If not it will change your mind! Just had a killer day slow rolling one through pads

And actually it wasn’t weightless, I ended up Texas rigging it with a light bullet weight

I caught 5 on one of them today. I'd take them for $20 but I bought 3 more earlier this week.

Ned Rig, Jigs, and Flipping Dean Rojas Fighting Frogs. I love all 3 of these lures, but I'm so disappointed in them.

Typo on my part. I left out "too".

I guess I should have said ...... I would take them for that price as well.

Another bait came to mind that never hit home with me was the Swimming Senko. I have great luck with the regular version though.

SK 1.5 and 2.5 KVD SB. These things just don’t catch fish for me, maybe 2 bass total and I have tossed it a lot. The 1.0 KVD SB on the other hand has produced well for me. No idea why those 2 are zeros for me.

No I agree. I have a crap ton of them too and not just SK’s  I’d rather throw a regular crank instead

Rapala subwalk, have fished them countless times for smallmouth with no luck

There's 2 that have really disappointed me.

1. Chatterbait,  like a previous poster I've caught fish on spinnerbaits, and jigs in the same location right after a chatterbait didn't get a nibble.

2. Spook.   I catch quite a few bass on a devils horse, as well as a yellow darter.  I can't get a sniff with a spook.   It's probably me.  I can make a devils horse land like a butterfly.  Every time I throw a spook it sounds like someone just threw a brick in the water.

Honorable mention.  Alabama rig.  I've never caught anything on one, but I haven't thrown one much.  I look at that big mess on the end of my line and can't help but laugh.  I've got a couple friends who catch buckets full of bass on them.

Lol , the Zara Spook ( full size ) can spook fish on the landing but let the ripples calm and then walk it.

It's a proven big fish bait.

Chatterbait but I know it will work eventually.

Chatterbait. I could probably catch fish on it if I could make more than 5 casts without losing them on a snag.

Of course I know they work, but they just haven’t worked for me. Ever. Period. ‘Nuff said.

The closest I ever got was so painful. The bass came out to investigate, paused and swam back into the cover.

I am open to anyone willing to donate their disappointing Chatterbaits to a good home. ??

Add a low/no salt trailer or a Keitech Fat Impact. It will stay up and off the bottom and they tend to make the skirt fluff out.  I have only lost one in several years of fishing them.

I've got a bag of KO Dark Sleepers you can have.

Have to say I was surprised by some of the answers, in particular the Beetle Spin, Whopper Plopper and Chatterbait. While I've never used a Beetle Spin for Bass, I always had good luck with them on Gills and Crappies. Caught lot on the Chatterbait and Ploppers too and always have them on the boat deck.

Everyone has their favorites. I have a friend who hates spinnerbaits and won't throw one. For me its a buzz bait. Both obviously work well though.

Agreed, I haven't thrown a Beetle Spin in years, but they always produced in the past. Love the W Plopper...fun times...always love seeing a bass blow up top-water!

Threw Chatterbait last weekend and had good success!

I'm not a huge spinner-bait fan...but I love, LOVE me some top-water buzz-bait action!
