I'm taking a break from mowing and checking on my jerky, as I was mowing I got to thinking about if I hate it or love it. What about you? I mow about 2.5 acres and I can honestly say I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. I do however love having a nicely fresh cut yard. I cannot stand when it starts to get tall. We have had a lot of rain so my yard is overdue. After looking at what I have mowed vs what I haven't I realize just how bad it was. Anyway, that was just one of my random thoughts. I know some people absolutely hate it and others who love it. Where do you stand on mowing?

I like it but simply must have quality equipment.

btw- that's a few years back, I don't bag any more.

im kinda like you. dont love it but its nice to see a nicely mowed lawn. and i cant complain, the yard i have now is way easier than the one i mowed when i was a kid...even with a push mower, no hills just nice and flat. so its a piece of cake.

I like it.  I just wish I wasn’t the only one who didn’t like dandelions.

I don’t dry dishes, change diapers or mow the lawn!

I wouldn't necessarily say that I like doing it, but I enjoy having a nice yard.  I'd much rather mow it than water it because that means we're getting adequate rain.

I don't mind it and have always stayed on top of it. Plus no way Im paying someone else $40-50 a week to mow it.

I got a barter system with a neighbor. He doesn't have the parking space in his garage/yard for his utility trailer and Explorer (he's got 2 motorcycles and three other vehicles.)

I provide him that space - he takes care of the mowing during spring/summer/fall and snowblows me out during the winter.

That’s my feeling exactly.

I used an antique one like the top pic yesterday at my moms house, love the sound!

My wife loves to mow, so I let her handle the riding mower. I do the weedeating and a little push mowing to finish up the yard. We mow 3 acres.

As long as I've got some music in my ear buds I'm fine with it. Between our property and my in - laws I spend 7.5 hours on the zero turn, 1.5 hours weed eating, and .5 hour blowing every week.

If you use a Mulching Blade ? You are recycling the grass as food. I have not fed the lawn in 52 years.

I enjoy it, but it’s not my most favourite thing to do when it’s super hot out. We have a much larger yard here now than we had at our old house. Between the rider, couple small spots to hit with the push mower and running the weed eater, my son and I are around 2.5 hours total a week. As much work as it can be, it sure does look nice when it’s all done, and I’d much rather mow grass than blow snow!

I too like having a nice yard and don't mind at all doing yard work, especially since I retired and have time to do whatever needs doing.

Just so happens my 20 yo tractor's deck is shot so I ordered what is likely to be my last mower this afternoon, a Bad Boy Zero Turn. Be interesting to see how much I run over with it.

I love it.  It’s a task that fits me perfectly. It requires no thought or real intelligence.  I’ve mowed and edged my neighbors yard for the last nine years. He can’t do it and I enjoy it.

I don't mind mowing and try to get it done when it needs it. I usually use the weed eater and blower every other time I mow.

I absolutely despise to mow grass, always have.

Luckily live in a remote location and let'er grow.....Mow once per month regardless.

The tall grass cost me a trophy though, my girls were throwing my Kenny stabler outograghed football in the yard and left it.

I mowed over it a shredded it, true story.

I like a nice yard, but the grass clippings really do a job on my allergy.  Now I try to cut when the grass is damp, or when we have a strong wind.
