ironbjorn Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 What OP has spent has been a single order for me a time or two... And here I am thinking I don't spend too much. 3 Quote

But it was the best researched purchase I've made and I regret nothing. Wonderful equipment Quote
Jmilburn76 Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I guess 1 positive about me having a brain injury and stroke last May is I forgot a lot of my past so I honestly don't have a clue what Ive spent all in. I do know is pretty modest compared to most. Jeep upgrades is another rabbit hole for me as well! Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted May 6, 2022 Super User Posted May 6, 2022 The only correct answer is “not enough”. “This message is copyrighted by the Bait Monkey for the private use of anglers. LCG Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I have spent far more than I care to admit, and I don't have near the collection of gear that many members here have. That said, it's a passion for me and I very much enjoy the sport. I spend within my budget being an average middle class working family man. I remember when I first started, I bought a cheap Walmart combo for $15 about 8 or 9 years ago. I have since bought and sold dozens of combos, my latest combo cost $700 ish. Does this help me catch more fish...no it doesn't. What it does is increase the pleasure of fishing with lighter, higher quality equipment that is dialed into my style of fishing. The best thing I probably bought fishing related was a kayak. $500 investment that gets you to where the fish are located and you can't get on foot. 2 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted May 6, 2022 Super User Posted May 6, 2022 Thousands, a large chunk of which came between 2016 and now. That’s when Life became less hectic so I could actually go fishing regularly. 1 Quote

Super User Mobasser Posted May 6, 2022 Super User Posted May 6, 2022 I've spent too much period. Buying stuff since the early 1980s. It's all good. 1 Quote

There’s nothing wrong with drinking Budweiser unless you pick up the can with your right hand and then switch it to your left hand before drinking. 2 12 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Couldn’t even imagine a number, but over the years I’ve owned a Triton bassboat, Lund Pro-V, couple other smaller boats and now the Smokercraft I currently run. That alone totalled up is well over a 100 grand. For gear, it’s up there, way, way up there. It’s all good with me though, cause I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, and it’s never once made my, or my families life harder because we couldn’t afford to live properly. If I had to do it all over again, I’d do the same in a heartbeat. 8 Quote
