How much have you invested into your fishing??? And how much have you lost in lures?

I have about 500$ in rods for all species, I buy second hand/used so have gotten very good deals...

I have spent roughly 700-800 on lures, line, and terminal tackle, that sounds like alot but I think that is not bad for all species as long as I've been fishing, this year I got carried away and I have tallied up a total of 311$ spent this year.

Oh, I fish cheap compared to a lot of people on this here message board. My current arsenal includes an $800 kayak, about $1000 worth of rods and reels and a couple grand in lures, both the ones I have and have lost. But I used to have a Procraft fish & ski and I've owned 2 other kayaks. I also have a lot of my dad's stuff. He was not a big spender when it came to bass fishing. But I like to catch fish on his stuff.

I don’t spend too much on tackle but I’ve been known to break off some lower units

I would think I'm on the low end compared to most of the guys here. Rods/reels I'm sitting right at $3K, hard/soft baits probably $1.5-2K or so. Not counting discarding used soft plastics as "lost" lures, I've been pretty fortunate in that regard, definitely sub-$200 in lost hard baits and probably closer to the $150 mark.

Lifetime or in one purchase?   Just on tackle or everything?  If it's everything, mine has been in the millions.  My first new fishing reel was a Pflueger Akron. My second was a Mitchel 300.  Paid for them both out of my paper route profits. I built my first boat out of a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood with planks for the sides.  My first new bass boat was a Terry Bass 15 footer with stick steering and a 55 Johnson outboard.  I had three Terry Bass boats after that followed by Rangers, Hydro Sports, a Gambler and one Storm.  I've had dozens of boats in my life to a 40 foot sport fish.  I sold our home and moved to Key Largo once for two years so I could fish.  We moved to where I am now for the bass fishing.  Traveling to fish?  How about Mexico, South and Central America, Canada, Australia even Papua New Guinea.  Come to think about it, I've spent my whole life chasing fish.  It's all been good.  ☺️

How much money have you spent on your fishing addiction ?

Total tally since the Richard Milhous Nixon administration

can't accurately be tabulated at this time.

Most recently we have this deal

Pro-V Bass & AT4 with A.R.E CX Revo Cap

Pretty much goes rapidly down hill from there . . . .

Incidentally, what happens in Mexico doesn't count against me on American soil.

That's my story and I'm stick'in to it.

Are we talking boats too?  That brings a whole new set of expenses.

My baitcasters sure look nice in new rod covers though just arrived today from tackle warehouse. Bait monkey tells me so. He likes the colors :USA:

It's got to be 5 figures in rods, reels, line, lures, and tools alone. I have no idea. A lot. Unless my house burns down I'm not going to total it.

At last count there were 32 rods in the garage, but that's 20 years of accumulation of fly, surf, inshore, ect.  Sure there is more reels and countless amount of gear.

I don't want to know the total of all of it....just thankful for having all of it.

How much money have I spent @PressuredFishing on my fishing “addiction” which is kinda a lifelong pursuit of happiness? I’m gonna equate it to government spending…. Most of it’s accounted for, other monies I have no idea ??‍♂️
