Have had good luck with power pro, suffix 832, even some cheaper off brands. Giving power pro super slick v2 a shot this season. 20lb to 6 lb leader in blue color. So far so good.

Power Pro moss green, 10 and 15 lb., haven't had a reason to try anything else.

Hi-viz Smackdown (flash green) for spinning…15 to 8 or 20 to 8.  I only use spinning for light finesse.  Good performance and doesn’t bleed.

8lb fireline for my medium light outfit. It was the first braid I ever used circa late 90’s before later moving on to power pro and 832. Revisiting it just recently I’ve been pleasantly surprised, I’m liking it’s stiffness for sensitivity, especially in windy conditions, although I do recall it becoming rather limp eventually but don’t recall how quickly it did, hopefully not too fast.

For four carrier braid, it's Yo-zuri. For eight carrier it's sufix. Always 20#. There's a cheapo amazon brand that makes the most color steady red braid I've ever seen, the roll I got was decent but I think the sufix has higher strength so I've been using it more. I found the power pro super 8 slick v2 to fray quicker than I would like. Seaguar braid looks good but is more loosely woven than others in my experiences. Berkley big game braid is great for the price (like all Big Game products) but fades quickly.

Coastal Camo Sufix 832 is currently on all my equipment, I can see it a little easier at night and I have a very high confidence in its strength and consistency.

Sufix 832 has always been the best behaved until I discovered the newer generation of Japanese X-braids, which are twice the breaking strength for the same diameter.

Florida Fishing Products Distance Braid has been on one of my reels longest, used hardest, and was the first Japanese X-braid I randomly tried - pretty sure it's made by Varivas; I have other Varivas High Grade on a couple of spools, finesse to inshore.

YKG X-braid upgrade; YGK Oltolos in extreme light sizes; YGK BornRush is the single-best spinning braid I've tried.

I like Sufix 832. But I have 20 lb. Seguar flash green on one spinning rig and that line is supple. I really like it.

Sufix 832, 15 and 20lb. I have a spool of Power Pro Super Slick V2 somewhere to replace the 20lb 832 on my Stradic FK, but haven't gotten around to it.

I've used Sufix for 3 years now and don't really see a reason to change. I only got the Super Slick to try out their 8 strand stuff and got a good price on a thinner diameter. The unopened spool is sitting in a plastic box somewhere

While I've tried others, I've been enjoying 8 & 10 pound test original Fireline since the mid '90s.

How do these compare to their sinking braid?  Their 14 lb sinking braid is my favorite spinning braid and I've tried most of the ones listed in this thread.

Tuff line Domin8 or Sufix 832 high vis yellow. I would try Sufix 132 but they don't make in hi vis yellow.

I've tried a bunch.  In a spinning reel, it doesn't make much difference.  There are a few minor differences, like Sufix 832 and 131 will sink better, due to the Gore fiber strand.  And Power Pro seems to hold its color better.  But in the end, they all pretty much fish the same for me, outside of some minor differences.

On a baitcasting reel, I'm a little more picky with thinner braids, as higher strand count briads (8+ carrier) tend to not dig into the spool as easily.  But on a spinning reel, I don't usually have that problem, as I only using spinning reels for finesse presentations, and usually have the drag set a lot lighter.

i've switched from powerpro to sufix 832 and has been great for me this year. super quiet and haven't run into any issues at all

I've never tried the G-Soul, but I've read it's blended with fluorocarbon fibers, so I'm guessing it can't be as tightly wound and same test / diameter as the other X-braids.

However, what makes X-braid is 90% of the strength is in a single center strand, and the outer strands are for toughness, abrasion resistance, and for G-Soul, to make it sink.

Regards.

Two I prefer on baitcasters are Duo X-Wire and cost-effective Yamatoyo Resin Sheller.

I just got back from fishing PE#0.8 X-wire in granite creeks this morning, and was very happy with the line.

The fishing was tough for yesterday's rain, but I did catch endemic bass on my 1500C/UL.  If my photos came out, I'll figure out where to post it later...

... I didn't get many good photos, and the bike ride was better than the fishing, so I'll just post it here

YGK Bornrush is indeed the best spinning braid in my humble opinion.
