Super User GaryH Posted May 5, 2022 Super User Posted May 5, 2022 There are formulas out there that will tell you what you need for the hours you fish. Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted May 5, 2022 Super User Posted May 5, 2022 That battery should work fine for 4.5 to 7 hours. Personally, I would try it with the trolling motor battery. You might see some interference when the trolling motor is running. If that’s the case then get another battery for the fish finder. Quote
CD82 Posted May 5, 2022 Author Posted May 5, 2022 thanks well i just thought it be best to get the seperate battery for the fish finder avoid any issues lol i may just try the feeder battery and see how it goes prob not going to be out more than 4 hours or so anyway 1 Quote
Super User Bankc Posted May 6, 2022 Super User Posted May 6, 2022 I use a 7ah battery for my fish finder. I've never had issues with it. If I'm planning on being out on the water longer than 7 hours, I turn it off when I drop anchor somewhere. What kind of trolling motor do you use? Typically, only the ones with variable speeds create issues. If the motor has set speeds (like 5 forward and 3 reverse), then it shouldn't create any interference. Quote
