Danminniear Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 I am in the market of getting a new fishing rod. I am looking for a medium heavy, extra fast action rod for all purpose use but am having trouble finding trusted brands other than lews (nothing against them, just dont want one). what are some good recommendations? Nelson Delaney Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 A loomis MBR rod. Pick the rod line that fits your budget. Quote

waymont Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Agree, a Loomis MBR, but the JWR line of Loomis rods are the extra fast. Both are excellent. Quote
Aaron_H Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Budget is the number one question. But if you want to stick to the $100 mark, the Shimano SLX comes in a 7'2" MH/XF. Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted May 1, 2022 Super User Posted May 1, 2022 Randall says fast in the video, but it's an XF rod. Light, sensitive, Fuji K frame guides with fazlite rings, 5 year warranty. $129 1 Quote
