Custom SCV 610MLXF extended to 7'.

I have that exact blank extended to 7’ and used for a custom baitcasting rod.

My favorite this minute is a G. Loomis GLX WPJR 822S.

St Croix SC5 MHF blank built to 7'10".  My favorite all around rod.  Makes me not pick up my 844s as much as I used to...although that'd be my 2nd pick.

yeah, there is the eye crosser and the bayou. One is cara, one is expert but I never remember which. Both were made for frogs on mats and heavy pitching but with the differences you noted.  I think both would do double duty pretty well.

The amistad expert is sweet.  I put 50lb 832 braid on it because we get a ton of grass and lily pads here. It will be my main jig and plastics rod come June or July when things really get growing. In the meantime it’s throwing Alabama rigs and heavy spinnerbaits just fine.  I’ll frog with it on heavy mats when it’s time.

Cool, the amistad seems like awesome rod. Would love to find a place for one in my arsenal.

A lot of really cool rods! I’m surprised at how many favorite rods are not “mainstream” brands…that’s really cool! I would have thought this would be full of nrx, steez, megabass p5… so it’s cool to hear others!

Right now it’s alx zolo skipper. Very fun rod too fish. I choose it over some of my more expensive sticks.

Loomis NRX 853C

Nice, what do you use this rod for mainly?

NRX+ 852S didn't like it at first but now I can't go to lake without taking it and fishing it.  Got other rods that I use for certain techniques but I'll throw anything on the 852S light texas rigs(hawgs, lizards, craws), shaky, neko, small swimbaits, and probably the best wacky spinning rod I've ever held.

First time I used my Dobyns Champ XP 734 I fell in love with it. I’ve since bought a Sierra refurb 734 and I like the Sierra almost as much. I use them both as do everything rods and other than a jerkbait rod and one spinning rod, the 734s carry the load. I rarely throw crankbaits.
There are probably other rods that I’d really like, but I’m not made of money.

I hear ya on the Sierra 734. I have Shimano Expride's and Adrena, Megabass Orochi's etc, and the 734 is still right up there for me as far as my favorite rods go.

I really have a hard time picking a favorite, as I have a few that are my favorite for different things. I love my Dobyns Sierra 734c, Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS 7'6" ML, and my Daiwa BLX 7' MH. If I absolutely had to pick my favorite currently though I think it would actually be my newest rod which is the St Croix Victory 6'8" Medium XF "The Jerk". Jerkbait fishing is my absolute favorite way to catch bass, and this rod has really impressed me so far in the short time I have owned and used it.

Falcon Expert Head Turner. Length, power, and action are perfect. It’s comfortable to throw all day and versatile enough to handle the majority of what I throw.

My buddy is a St Croix guy and has been looking for a new jerkbait rod. How is the tip on that model? Is it more soft or pretty fast?

They rate it as an extra fast, but I would personally rate it as a fast. I honestly think it has about the perfect tip for jerkbaits. It is crisp enough to effectively work the jerbaits, but soft enough to launch the baits, and to keep the fish pinned.

I don't own one at the moment but shimano slx rod felt amazing, light, crisp, comfortable. My favorite rod I own know is a dobyns fury, light and crisp as well, I'm sure there are better rods I would like more out there but anything over 100$ is crazy for me

Great rods out there! Any others?  Love my x-bites as well… hard to pick a favorite!

We don’t have any really expensive rods, but I’ve got a Fenwick Elite Tech ETB70M that I enjoy very much.  I’ve got it paired with a Shimano Chronarch 201E6 spooled with 10# Suffix Advance for small-medium crankbaits.  It’s a pleasure to fish and my landing percentage has been 100%
