Been noticing a lot of eels in the 8-10 inch range on the move at night. Their eyes glow when my light hits them, and they shoot off in an extreme serpentine motion, so I put these two together: 3/8oz 6th Sense Divine Swim Jig in Black Light and a V&M Wild Thang worm 8.5 in black/blue glitter. We'll see.

That is sick looking. The 6th sense divine swim is one of my favorite jigs I’ve used too.

No reason why that won't work, but I'd forego the skirt if I'm imitating an eel. We used to liveline them and catch big bass in LI, a 7"-12" curly or straight tail worm in black or other dark color should work well. Someone just texted me some big bass pixs from your way on a big shad colored swimbait.

I would be surprised if this didn't work. I do a lot of night fishing and would have no problem using that all night.

Sometimes I'll use a 6" worm as a trailer when it gets too beat up to stay on the hook.  I don't see why a larger worm wouldn't work.

Gonna try it both ways. Maybe the skirt will replicate the fins that flank their head? It'll be fished at night. I've had no play yet on a straight Ol'Monster, so I have to try something else.

If you're inclined, and also have permission, PM me a pic please. Always love seeing a local jumbo!
