NavyVet1204 Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 I’m still a small fry in terms of my rookie numbers, but my PB is still in the 4# area and it was caught on a freakin Whopper Plopper of all things. This was last year too. My wife had bought me an Abu Revo ALF for our anniversary(garbage reel, but that’s another story) so I slapped it on a spare rod I had and tied on the bone colored WP and about five casts in and maybe five feet off the bank on the retrieve, the bass bombed it. How about you guys? 6 Quote

Finessegenics Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 A 3.5" Z-Man Grubz on a 1/16 oz mushroom head. The color was bloodworm but I had them in a bag with motor oil Grubz. So the motor oil bled onto the bait and created this motor oil with green, blue, and red flake. 5 Quote

Super User LrgmouthShad Posted April 22, 2022 Super User Posted April 22, 2022 One of my favorite spinnerbaits I've used, but I'm biased of course - Nichols Pulsator single colorado 3/8oz in silver flash color. This fish sent me down the rabbit hole of fishing spinnerbaits. 13 Quote

Super User Deleted account Posted April 22, 2022 Super User Posted April 22, 2022 T-rigged black/blue fleck 4" Senko, but that's a fluke. Most of the 7+ lb fish I catch come on Jigs, Spinnerbaits or really large versions of other varying baits, Striper/Musky JBs has been the one so far this pre spawn. Quote

ABrugs Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 6th Sense Clout 5.4 in ‘Watermelon Candy’ rigged weightless on a 3/0 EWG. This got me my 4.54 PB LMB. My PB SMB (3.92) was caught on a 5” Senko in ‘Green Pumpkin/Black Flake’, also on a 3/0 EWG and rigged weightless. Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Case helgrammite, black, Texposed on a EWG hook with an unpegged 1/16 Oz worm weight. I wish I could find that picture and the citation. It got lost 4 moves ago and I keep hoping I'm going to open a box and find it. No luck yet, but I did find my armadillo mounted upside down holding a beer bottle this last move You would think I would keep my prized possessions my wife doesn't appreciate together. 1 Quote
InfantryMP Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Oddly for me, it was a weird event. I casted a blue and black small sqaure bill and caught a small crappie with it, and while I was reeling in the crappie, a 5.5+ largemouth ate the crappie. So I counted it as a legit catch. 9 Quote
