I think I was wrong calling A-Jay the bait monkey. Or is the bait monkey holding you captive? Blink twice if he is!

Blink Blink. Been on my back since the early 80's. Rides me hard. Puts me away wet. It's shameful I tell ya. I'm especially vulnerable to him due to my disability. I was born without a willpower.

You know I will win. Why torture yourself? Just buy it now. You know you want to.

I have to admit I too surrendered to the bait monkey. I just added up what I have spent in the past few months. I have a problem but its a good problem. ☺️

Preachin to the choir brother. I've bought a dozen ARK rods, 8 reels, Lord only knows how much terminal tackle and baits, and a boat since last June. Oh.....And a house by the lake. Closing on it next week. Whole tribe of monkeys on my back. ?

Get it now, in order to get ahead of inflation.

This is really true on an item like this. It's not going to get any cheaper. The longer you own it, the more enjoyment you'll get out of it, so what are you waiting for?

I just purchased a vanford myself. Anybody know if there are slight difference in usdm and JDM vanfords aside from the normal customer service/ warranty .JDM metanium for example has a slightly smaller spool for example and smaller grips as well. I really REALLY like the metanium so far

Well, you're not gonna find any help around here, that I know for sure. We're all long-time monkey carriers.

I purchased a JDM Vanford 2500SHG because it offers shallow spool models that USDM doesn't. Other than that, I don't think there're many differences.

The bait monkey is going to make me poor dude. I added/replaced 5 reel and 5 rods already this spring and now I'm looking at a JDM Daiwa Zillion. I have 9 baitcast set ups and 5 spinning set ups...... Not to mention my big water trolling rods/reels. What's wrong with me?! ?

When I see a new piece of eq or a lure or a line etc....it comes down to making a memory and a future experience that I'll look back on fondly back one day.  All it takes is a so so lure to get inhaled by a hungry fish and it's game on.   I'm compelled to get each color or variation in that said lure to make sure I get a repeat performance; or so I hope.  A memory can last a lifetime.  And if a stella makes it that much better than it was worth it.

You are worse than me.  Decided I wanted to get into fly fishing.  Over the winter I bought 6 rods, reels, lines for them (expensive sheet), leaders, and a bunch of flies.  I may even get out with one of them in the next couple months.  Haven't looked at waders, nippers, staffs, nets, etc.  Thankfully I have no place to tie flies.  That would be another rabbit hole.

Careful. Before you know it, you'll be buying a cabin on a creek in Montana.
