basser27 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Anyone put some time in with these rods? Specifically the 6,8” medium spinning rod? Look to get one for senkos Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 17, 2022 Super User Posted April 17, 2022 Seems solid for the pricing point, I think you will like it! 1 Quote
Wildbillb Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I use a 6" 6" premier. I don't like the extra fast Quote
detroit1 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I like my m/f 6'10" bc rod i got a couple of years ago. I would buy another... Quote
Super User FishTank Posted April 17, 2022 Super User Posted April 17, 2022 I haven't fished one but I can say the new version is a way better rod than the old. It feels like a nicer quality rod all around. The old version felt every other $100 rod out there. 2 Quote
Oledog Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Interesting. I am in the market for a new rod . I might Check it out . Been looking real hard at Ark rods also. 1 Quote
torm Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 The new one feels very much like the victories. Its a lot lighter now and looks great. Not sure the sensitivity as I have not fished one. Anyone I know and recommended it has nothing bad to say about it though. I almost wanna say its probably worth picking it up over the mojos and even the premiers until both those rods gets redone. 1 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted April 17, 2022 Super User Posted April 17, 2022 I have the med light spinning and medium casting versions. I also have the older model medium casting rod as well. They are all great rods. I do like the looks of the older version better. The newer rods have different guides on the same rod, takes some getting used to from a visual standpoint. The top guide looks like it is missing an insert. Freaked me out when I got it shipped from Tackle warehoue. 3 Quote
Super User gim Posted April 17, 2022 Super User Posted April 17, 2022 I’ve got a 6’6” medium action casting rod that’s a couple seasons old. Honestly have not given it a lot of time though. I do agree with @NYWayfarer, the older color scheme is better than the new ones. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 18, 2022 Global Moderator Posted April 18, 2022 I've got a 7' 1" M/F spinning rod that I've used for several months now that I really like. Mostly used it for very light T-rigs and Flukes, does both well. They're much lighter and more sensitive than the older models. 2 Quote

Was thinking about picking up a heavy for a budget frog/heavier t-rigs and jigs rod. Quote

I've only used braid on mine and had no issues. 2 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 18, 2022 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 18, 2022 I have a new, Heavy BassX and been using 50lb Seaguar Smackdown braid without any issues. 1 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted April 19, 2022 Super User Posted April 19, 2022 I have a MLXF Bass-X. I use 20 lb. Sufix 832 with no issues. It’s my main Ned rig rod. Although I like it for weightless TR with Senkos and Zoom Tricks as well. Quote
