Super User J Francho Posted April 14, 2022 Super User Posted April 14, 2022 I can bring an imperial pint (19.6 oz) to my mouth just fine. A sub-pound reel is fine too, on a balanced rod. Quote

I too can raise a pint and enjoy doing so, but if you put it into context and did that for say a 2 hour time span I don’t think anyone is capable of raising said pint approximately 100 times give or take. And if they were able they would be hurting pretty good the next day Edited April 14, 2022 by Eric 26 Added content Quote

The UL-1 cast really well matched with the Eagle Claw UL glass casting rod. Yeah I ordered the zebco33 micro getting it for ultralight, I was also looking at the bullet for a spinning reel replacement, so I don't have to flip the bail constantly for moving baits, I have 3 bfs reels and they are alright but do not find them enjoyable in the wind, and they where also quite expensive, even the zephyr at 75$. 2 Quote

zell_pop1 Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Sure if Daiwa made a quality under spin to replace the Eliminator spinning reel I have I would do it. I mostly use baitcasters and I hate spinning but spinning is better at a few things. But there are no quality under spins. Quote

Just got it in the mail today, played around with it in the backyard and I'm in love with it, I'm even thinking about selling some of my spinning setups and getting a bullet lol 1 1 Quote
PressuredFishing Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 Update: fished with the zebco micro 33 for roughly two hours, caught a few nice bass and lots of panfish, reel was comfortable and while no instant antireverse was experienced, the backplay in the handle was not terrible. The drag was sketchy especially on anything more than 2lb, but was not as bad as I thought, still nothing like felt drags. The reel was overall a pleasure to use, I may just switch from spinning reels to spincast, I really like the features and they where not as bad as I hear. Zebo bullet... here I come lol (edit) also casting distance was very good and equal to spinning, but as the line lay became uneven casts lost a few feet of distance, but was fixable but assisting the reel in line management and pick up 2 Quote
