I have looked at reviews and a ton of videos on both. I am more confused ! I get to leaning one and then I go back to confused. I live on Table Rock if that helps. And I can only afford one. I have the Force trolling motor which I know would be a easy set up , I was looking at a 12 or 16 inch cart plotters for the live scope plus. I have also looked at the Mega 360 with a Solix 15 and I would have to get a aftermarket mount to fit the Force.so any users or expert info would be greatly appreciated! I heard that the Garmin was a bit easier to operate? Thanks Dan

So go with the livescope.  9" screen no need for a 12".  Now the why.

You can scan the area with your livescope, see what you're fishing and look at what your trolling motor is pointed at. It offers you the ability to see real time information.  Now on spot lock it doesn't work very well unless it's pointed where you want to fish. I want the 360, but then it's only so I can see spots to point the livescope  at.  So I use side imaging, look around where I wanna fish, if I see something I like  I stop go back over and fish it with livescope.  If I don't see any activity  I leave. It's real time information.  And have to say I chase shad schools pre-spawn to catch offshore fish that aren't on anything but bait. The bait moves, I can watch the bass interact with the bait in real time. See if they are interested in what I'm throwing by tracking my bait. Move with them, scan suspended fish, target them, see if they are bass or not. Why because  its in real time. That's my opinion on your question.  And if you do use  thick guage wire (8guage) to run your power. I learned this from experience  and if you go livescope,  put in a toggle switch to turn your black box  off and on that way you can kill the power to the transducer with a switch opposed  to the unit. Hot days your transducer  will overheat on runs out of the water if its not shut down.

You won't regret it. I'd go that route.  I put livescope on before I upgraded my trolling motor,  and it was so worth it.

I have Mega 360, but not Livescope. If it were me. I would opt for the Livescope simply because you can see fish in deeper water, which is wat I struggle with. I only use my 360 to find structure. I would say that having 360 has in no way made me a better fisherman.

Me too.....also. Both would be a perfect combination in my opinion IF I only had the money.

Yeah me too. I want the 360 but I don't need  it. My livescope system ran me $2200 for the whole thing.  And well worth it and changed the way I fish by giving me more information and confidence to fish deeper and eliminate  water quickly.

Unfortunately,  products from different manufactures do not work with each other.  I would stay with Garmin since you have the Force trolling motor.  I assume the trolling motor integrates with the electronics the same way Humminbird and Minn Kota do.  There are lots of little integration features that you will only get if you stay with one manufacturer.  These are not must have features but are nice.

Thanks for all the informative. I just watched a video comparing the GT 54 to the GT 56 and wow the 56 is so much better! I have decided to go Garmin 126 Ultra with the live scope plus, since I have the Force. The Force comes with a GT 54 transducer. Is there a way to get the GT 56 transducer that comes with the 126 Ultra on the Force TM?????

I'm definitely intrigued by the Livescope. So much so that I might consider it for my kayak next year.

I see people mounting it on kayaks, but it's going to take some thought and preparation. I also need to make sure it's something I really want and not an impulse purchase.

Sounds like a $200 saddle on a $50 dollar horse to me.  Please do not post pictures of big bass you catch using your Livescope on your kayak.  I would hate for the Monkey to be on my back about a $3500 dollar saddle.
