Any suggestions? Looking to fill a niche

Big fan of the war eagle finesse 5/16oz. While not Colorado blade they have what they call a turtle back blade. Works well in dirty water.

X2 on those finesse 3/16-5/16ths War Eagles, or Stanley has 1/8 oz finesse spinnerbaits in Colorado blades.

No, that's a short arm. The distance between the head and bend is part of the equation. My suggestion is find a compact spinnerbait you like, and switch the blades to whatever, if it doesn't already come in that combination. I can't believe I'm saying (typing) this, but the Tacticals have a good video on spinnerbaits out, don't agree with everything in it, but a bunch of good info nonetheless.

Fair enough. I thought compact and short arm was same same. Alright. And yeah I did start watching the tactical video last night and some of it was interesting. Also can’t believe I’m saying that. Going to finish the rest while eating breakfast. If there’s a YouTube video on spinnerbaits that looks alright, Im watching it. I don’t care who it is.

Finished the video. Second half was pretty good. He did Nichols justice in that video! He is 100% right that those silvery metal flake Nichols are awesome in cloudy conditions and clear water. My favorite blade is a #4 silver flash metal flake Nichols colorado. That blade is so good in the conditions he is talking about. Trailer hook was interesting even though I don't hardly use them. Him talking tilt was interesting. This one is worth watching!

I honestly think the short arm spinnerbait has more to offer in a compact spinnerbait application.

They are big producers for me that you really don't see in an angler's employ.

Yes the Zorro short arm spinnerbait flat out catches em, use it alot, but the OP wanted compact spinnerbaits.

The 3/8 zorros arent all that big and you can trim them down considerably with that smaller hook but you still have the wire length and dia that's a constant.

Picasso makes a great SB and I know they make a compact single blade SB.  Recently I've become a big fan of the thunder SBs.  Had several days this year when the conditions were perfect for a big zorro colorado but the fish wouldn't commit, where they would crush the Picasso thunder.  War eagle makes a similar blade as well.
