So Im just starting to get myself ready for the new season. Just got a a reup on some jigs so I started there. Looks like I left a couple CB with the trailer on em. Would you keep those or throw em out?

Here's how mine were stored. They look pretty straight. I can't really see any kinks or anything.

I've never removed a trailer from any bait unless it's worn out.

Years ago when pork trailers were popular then yes, they would rust hooks if left on.

the salt in plastics will eat at some hooks, so I'd just inspect them before use.  Pretty hard to rust through enough to make a jig hook unusable, but better be safe and check

For some reason the title made this pop into my warped mind. ? OP I'd use those trailers.

Exactly ?

For years I threw Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craw which probably has a higher salt content than any plastic.

If the salt in today's plastics is rusting your hooks...you got some cheap hooks!
