Super User king fisher Posted April 2, 2022 Super User Posted April 2, 2022 This guy fishes the harbor where I am a few days a week. He makes his living commercial fishing in this boat. He usually throws a cast net, but sometimes has a rod and reel too. Some days there are two people in the boat but most of the time he is by himself. He stands up an paddles with a Paddle board paddle. The boat is simply an old jet ski that has been gutted. I see them around quite often. I even saw two guys bass fishing in one at my favorite lake. Just goes to show with a little imagination, there is always a way to get to the fish. 7 Quote

Captain Phil Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 I built my first boat from an 8' x 4' sheet of 1/2" plywood with wood planks for the ends and sides. I bought the materials from a local lumber yard and held it together with Elmers wood glue and brass screws. It fit in the back of my parents 1960 Rambler station wagon. My girl friend and future wife worked the sponge in between casts. It looked a lot like a cement mixing trough. If you find a girl like that, keep her. ☺️ 6 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 5, 2022 Global Moderator Posted April 5, 2022 It didn't float very well, but my buddy and I use to fish his uncles ponds all the time and he had this run down dock that just floated around the pond. One day, I jumped on and just floated around fishing from it. Next time, we brought a drill, some screws, scrap 2x4 pieces, a battery, and trolling motor. We used it as our redneck 2 man for a couple years until his uncle moved. 4 2 Quote
