Crazy shot in the dark here... but if you or anyone you know has a swimbait rod suitable for 2-3 oz swimbaits they want to sell in Naples please LMK.

(OR if you know a store that sells them).

Thank you!

@DINK WHISPERER Wow! That is the rod I was hoping to get. Coincidentally I had looked to see if any of this rod in stock at the Dicks in Naples.  Unfortunately, online shows none left.

When I was there I only saw 2 left on the rack. It was hard not to pick one up at that price even though I don't need any more rods!

No kidding!  I don't blame you and admire your restraint!  I have one, and an XP and love them.  However, I need to fly to Naples on short notice and can't ship it there economically in time for fishing this weekend.

Maybe you could find something at the local BPS?

Thanks, agreed good idea.

Thought I'd leave a postscript to this: who knows, maybe someone will wind up in the same boat.  I did go to Naples for 5 days, and I did find a source for a rod capable of throwing my Bucca Shad Wakebait.

The Dicks in Naples did not have anything heavy enough to throw a swimbait.

I found Sportsmans Warehouse in Bonita Springs.  NOT the Sportsman's Warehouse that you might come across elsewhere. Got myself an Ark Pro Lancer - 7-6" Heavy, rated up to 2 oz.  A little light but heavy enough.  They also had a heavier 13 Fishing swimbait rod, but in the 8-12 oz range.

SW has a good selection of gear at reasonable prices.  They carry Ark, Daiwa, Fenwick, and 13 Fishing Rods, among some others.

I picked up a Fenwick spinning rod that I used for sight fishing Peacock Bass at a good discount.

BPS was another 25 minutes up the road - might have had a better selection - but I didn't have the extra hour to go up there searching.  This might come in handy for someone else sometime.

I caught bass on the Ark/Bucca Shad combo!
