Recently moved to Iowa. I’m from Florida. We pretty much only

used braid where I was. But I’m wanting to really maximize my set ups.
7’ M carbonlite baitcast combo

7’ MH carbonlite bait cast combo

7’ M 2500 spinning rod

I throw a lot of weightless plastics flukes, ribbon tails and stick baits. Ned rigs

spinners, in line spinners, rattle traps, hard jerk baits. Football head and swim jigs, chatter baits. Some small square bills. I dishing in Iowa now so not near as swampy. What would y’all rig these up with for line?

You might leave your braid on and add a leader. I suggest Tatsu #6 for spinning gear,

Tatsu #12 for your baitcasters.

Agree, leave your braid on and go to a flouro leader for the more finesse stuff you mentioned, especially if the water your fishing is gin clear.

Learn to tie a good leader knot like an Alberto.

Thanks guys!!! I’ll pick some up that’s what I was used to doing in saltwater down home. Never done it for bass. Gonna give it a shot tho!
