jcjunior Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Haven’t bought a new reel in a few years and want a new general purpose casting reel. Last reel I bought was a fuego ct and I liked it. Want to keep price $100-$125. What are my other options in this price range? Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 31, 2022 Super User Posted March 31, 2022 Have you checked the Flea Market forum here. ? I saw some real nice reels for some very good prices earlier today. Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted March 31, 2022 Super User Posted March 31, 2022 Lew's LFS or another Fuego since you liked the first one. Quote
newapti5 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 If you used left handed baitcasting reels, I have some in the price range you mentioned for sale on the flea market forum here. I'll also try to list my spinning reels for sale in another post tonight. Quote
swhit140 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Daiwa Tatula CT, Shimano SLX MGL, Lews Speed Spool LFS Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted April 1, 2022 Super User Posted April 1, 2022 This was posted in another thread. You can get a Quantum PT Tour S3 (RH 6.1:1) for $115. It is a $200 reel. https://discountfishingdeals.com/shop/ols/categories/quantum TT gave it a "Great" rating. PhishLI and a couple others on here have highly recommended it. Quote

Never used the Tour S3 reel, but this seller is legit. I bought many Lucky Craft jerkbaits from him. Quote
papajoe222 Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 If your loyalty leans toward Daiwa, another Fuego possibly in a different gear ratio. If brand isn't a consideration, there are four or five quality reels in that price range. Quote

Still fantastic and, as I was reminded, it'll sling a 3/8oz crank stupid distances. Its 36mm tall spool allows for something a little "extra". 1 Quote
