Super User Munkin Posted March 31, 2022 Super User Posted March 31, 2022 Any of the OCD tackle organizers on here can stop by my house anytime. I will give you some Clonazepam first so you don't have a panic attack. Allen 1 Quote
CrashVector Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I just thinned out my lure selection today. Super bad weather here, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to toss the lures I have that I don't really use or that haven't been productive. I felt guilty chunking a bunch of essentially brand new jigs and unopened packs of powerbait hd craws, but, I like to stick with what works for me and not keep excess stuff just to have it. 2 Quote

Tom During the COVID lockdown, I got desperate and pulled out some Mann's worms that I have had for forty years, and caught a lot of fish on them too. I was really glad I hadn't gotten rid of them. I've got stuff I'd like to sell, but it's easier to just let it sit there than to learn how to sell it and go through the hassle. I know that's not logical, I'm just being honest. It's probably the way a lot of people are. I also fear getting ripped-off. You've been through unloading your stuff, so it's in your rearview mirror - you have a different perspective. Quote

Sounds like you need a few hours at a fishing hole. Anytime life gets too busy I disappear for 4-5 hours and spend some deck time on my boat. Whether I catch a fish or not I come back home a little refreshed with a little better perspective. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 31, 2022 Global Moderator Posted March 31, 2022 I know exactly where all my tackle is, right where I left it ? Quote
Super User Bankc Posted March 31, 2022 Super User Posted March 31, 2022 I have a wife who helps me keep my tackle collection organized. If I tell her I need a new crankbait, she asks me if I already have one. When I tell her it's the wrong size and color, she reminds me that bass are colorblind and baitfish come in different sizes. I could catalogue every lure from memory and tell you exactly where it is, case, row and column. Quote

Drives me crazy. I caught a probable PB the other day and tore the boat apart looking for scale while the fish was in the livewell. After about 10 minutes of searching, I gave up and didn’t want to fish to be in the box any longer so I let it go. Of course when I got home, I found the scale right where I was looking the whole time 1 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 31, 2022 Super User Posted March 31, 2022 Isn't it odd? We generally find what we are searching for in the last place we look. 1 Quote

Phelptwan Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I ordered a couple new 10xd's this year because I can't find my old ones. I knew I had old ones because I checked order history at TW and found when I ordered them. Amazing how things can get lost in the pile. Quote

Revival Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 I just ordered and received 300 yards of Sufix 30lb braid. Going through my stuff, I find an unopened box of 300 yds of Sufix 30lb braid. Not the first time I ordered something I didn’t know I already had and I’m sure won’t be my last. 1 Quote

Just kidding. I know what your talking about, I have a container that keep spools of line in. Most of it is remnants of line I’ve already spooled on reels, but in the bottom of the container, I found 4 brand new in the package Hebdon Spooks. For the life of me I can’t remember ever putting them in there….. don’t tell anyone but,……I don’t even remember buying them! Has anybody ever thought that maybe….just maybe….Someone is breaking into our shops, sheds, spare rooms, or boats any where we keep our gear and is hiding tackle and stuff. Just too mess with us, Think about it, it would explain a lot. Quote

Uh Oh…looks like someone could use some advice from dear old dad. Quote
