What's your favorite, most versatile shimano baitcaster that will cover about everything?

Scorpion mgl, superior to the curados imo

Favorite is my Curado MGL 70's. Most versatile for me my Tranx 400A but it's a struggle with weightless plastics on the current rod.? I do have two Aldebaran 50s that I haven't spent anytime with yet.

That is like trying to pick your favorite child?  I love them all the same.

I don't know, I tell my kids all the time, it depends on the day on which one I like best. LOL

Calcutta 50......best little reel I ever had.

I have one also, but in 51. Wish I could find a shallow spool for it...

What pound test are you using? I have 30/8 lb Power Pro. I'm thinking of putting 20/6 lb Power Pro

My favorite and has gotten the most use in terms of versatility is my Chronarch MGL. It's seen frogs, jigs, and is now burning spinnerbaits over grass! Sure you could get a Metanium which is a dream of mine, but you cannot go wrong with a Chronarch! For that matter, the Curado MGL is sneaky good too!

SLX is my favorite current, I like the old set em and forget em brakes. Reel is very similar to my old Citia 100 DSV all time fav.
