My favorite is the Antares 70A.  Great all around reel.  Easy to palm. Effortless casting. Super smooth drag.  Only downside would be that when it gets cold, it's like holding an ice cube. Is the most versatile? Maybe. I haven't found anything I can't throw with it.

If I had to pick a second, it might be the Metanium.

All time favorite, the Core 101MG.

2020 Met, to me, it does everything well.If I were going back in time, I am extremely fond of my scorpion 1001XT and I wish I picked up a core 51mg7.

I haven't tried any recent Shimanos above the Curado, so I'm gonna have to go with the Curado MGL 150/151. Just picked another one up yesterday and it throws the light stuff, it throws the heavy stuff, and anything in between.

If we were talking all time I'd have said the Core 100/101 Mg. I loved that thing.

Curado 70 used to be my favorite (have 4 and used for every thing from finesse to 1oz topwater and frog).

I have three new Shimano baitcasters that I purchased within the last 4 months and I would rate them as follows:

1. Curado DC

2. Curado K 200

3. Curado MGL 150

My favorite is the 20 Met MGL but for the money it is hard to beat the Curado 70 MGL. I haven’t fished the Curado 150 MGL but I bet it’s great too!

Same here.  I used to sell and buy new when they changed models until the E7.

Since I mostly fish ultralight, BFS, and light tackle:

Shimano Aldebaran BFS XG        4.6 oz
Shimano Aldebaran MGL 30HG  4.8 oz
Both are JDM models.  Most of my other casting reels are Daiwa.

Out of the 3 I have it has to be the Curado K that I won on ebay for $46($66 shipped) that looks brand new.

I’ve only used my Chronarch MGL a couple of times and it is the best reel I’ve laid my hands on. I really think the SLX XT is the best value one I’ve tried. Almost on par with my Curados and it’s 60 dollars cheaper. I love them all though
