Jigs to go Through Wood but Stand up on Bottom?

So i’ve been liking the action of football jigs, with the way they stand up on bottom and dont fall over, but usually where I fish is a gravel or broken rock bottom with a lot of thick wood cover and footballs jigs get snagged way too much in the branches, what kind/brand of bass jig would be best to go through the wood but still have that standing posture or action on bottom if dragged? I’ve been using an booyah arkie head to good effect but they seem to tumble when dragged.

A good ole Arkie head jig comes through brush and timber well. Very versatile design, that can also sub as a flipping jig, or swim jig.  Not ideal for all, but does work well when you target different types of cover frequently during the day.

They are. I bought some a few months ago and was impressed.

 

They were on sale because they were "blemished" but I'll be danged if I can find the imperfection on any of them. If that's their "oops!" stuff then ya...they're good!

 

I also like how the website works. You can pick wire wrapped, color, I forget what else. Everything!

GameChanger Lures Trashmaster Jigs are another swing jig & will lay flat on the bottom.

 

Seibert Dredge Brush Jig will stand up, I dislike the relationship between the hook eye & the hook point.

I have that brush jig mold from Do-It. I haven't made any for several years. I much prefer the flat eye Arkie. It comes through wood, brush, and rock better and also skips very well. 

 

EDIT TO ADD: The flat eye is important IMO. It helps keep the jig from rolling over when working through cover, and it sticks a high percentage of fish in the roof of the mouth.

While it doesn't have a pivot point like a "swing" jig it lays flat on the bottom when at rest & is better suited for grass than wood.

Get Seibert Jigs they are well made and work. Only ones I use. Excellent quality

I do know something the Trashmaster is very, VERY bad at.......rip rap.  Want to lose your TM?  Throw it in some rip rap.  It will get hopelessly wedged
