So what does everyone like for a trailer keeper for swim jigs? Trying to decide on single wire, lead barb, or screw lock for a new one I am working on.

Waiting on O'Hare spring to get back with me about making a double barb.  Both barbs would be on top but would have the same effect.

A single wire works just fine and is easier to rig imo.

It's also the same keeper that's on my new favorite swim jig ~

single wire is sufficient, two wires is over-kill...

added: quite a few guys in this thread who use both a pair of suspenders and a belt...

I just bought one of these to see what colors were in the Hites delight skirt. It is nice but $8 a jig nice IMO.

I personally prefer a lead keeper. The wire and screw type really tear the bait up to the point of no return for me.

I have noticed some jigheads in production these days that have a vertical and horizontal lead bait keeper on them and those hold better than any other design I've seen. My baits last longer with that design over anything.
