I had about a 6 year old Abu Garcia Black Max BC reel that I wanted to trade in for a discount at on a new Shimano SLX at Cabela's/BPS during their Spring Sale.  When I was in there 2 weeks ago, they didn't have the reel I was looking for in stock and there were none available for shipping either.

 

Omnia Fishing is near me and I've been purchasing various tackle from them off and on for a couple years now.  They had the reel I wanted in stock at MSRP which is $100.  I contact them and explain the trade-in value that Cabela's/BPS is having when you buy a new reel.  Their rep indicated that they do not take trade-ins on reels, but he would price match me the $15 discount I would have received at Cabela's/BPS on the SLX. 

 

This is some fantastic customer service that I really was not expecting to receive.  Needless to say, they have earned more of my business in the future after this gesture.

I have made at least a dozen orders from them and they have been fantastic.  I signed up for premium membership and it has definitely paid for itself and then some. The guys there I have talked to are tackle junkies and seem to be really down to earth.  They are my go to for some of fishing stuff.  I just wished that they carried more.

Ya, they're operating out of a small section of an industrial row  - little cramped for space.

Sure thing.  I have family scattered all over Minnesota.... Duluth, Twin Cities, etc. Great state.

I give them the 90% of my business because of there great customer service.  Love there premium membership for the free shipping and 10% cash back and there is always coupons available.

They are my #1 shop got the premium membership on my first order and it has really paid itself off with all the tackle I've bought since last June from them.  Only bad thing has been how slow FedEx has taken to deliver my orders from them lol.

They have quickly become my favorite online retailer for tackle. The premium membership is well worth it. Also right now you get an automatic $30 credit when you either start or renew their premium membership, so you are essentially getting it for free. Mine didn’t expire until next month, but I renewed early and got the $30 credit on my account and it just added a year onto the end of my original end date for premium.

I have just recently started buying from them. They have most of what I want and the shipping is way faster than my other favorite tackle dealer. ?

I've received a handwritten note for every order! It is the small things that make a nice touch. Their premium deal is legit and they are constantly updating/expanding their products.

Wow! Some guys have all the luck. ☺️

 

Seriously I would love to have a good tackle shop close by.  The closest well stocked shops are between 50 and 80 miles from me.

I know the Marketing Director there from a previous job.  He said they focus on bass fishing right now, but eventually they intend to expand their tackle selection to target other species too.

 

Its kind of a unique business model.  They do have a small retail store when you are there, but most of their business is an online/shipping operation.  They have computers right when you walk in and you can order anything you want to in stock/in person and one of their guys will simply go get it on the spot.

Well they got my attention. The Premium membership is a good deal but the $30 credit they offered last week for signing up makes it a "no-brainer".

To be fair, I only ordered once so far so hopefully my next order comes with a love note
