Please do! I've been eyeing them, curious to see how they compare to the Fury as well as where they sit in comparison to other rods at the $99 price point.

So I picked up the 704C 735C and they will at some point go to our club’s student anglers.  The first thing I noted was how light they are. Both are balanced really well, typical Dobyns. Blanks are lightly sanded but you can still feel the ridges from the compression wrap, a little smoother than the Kadens.  Guides appear to be the same as used on the Fury series. Ample guides ( listening Daiwa?) and laser straight placement. Clean wraps and apoxy. Overall Fuji reel seat and blue accents.  Foam grips are large enough for bigger hands.  Taper and powers are consistent with the Fury equivalents.  I’m pretty impressed and at 99 bucks and free shipping from Dobyns web site, these are a really really good value. Now to fish them some.

At this price point , the best value may be for reaction type lure applications where a great deal of sensitivity is not as important . The Maverick series comes in a cranking model (MK 705CB) so I will be curious how it may compare to the Fury 705CB cranking rod ?

I swore off spinning rods but I don't want to take BFS to the creeks where I wade, fall, set things on rocks, etc. Been eyeing a Maverick spinning rod for this purpose.

The 705CB is my main interest. I love my FR705CB but the grip is less comfortable than some of my other rods. If the Maverick's EVA grip has enough give in it without a huge sacrifice in sensitivity, I could see replacing it.

*Yes , a comparison to the Fury 705CB would be great !
