Curious to see what new lures this season everyone is trying that is either new to the market or new to them?
I personal can’t wait to try the G Rat Pistol Pete 5.25”(new to me) and 6 Sense Axle Swim Jig(I am a big fan of the Divine Swim Jig from 6 Sense).

Nothing really all that new. I’ve never went at smallies with pink or bubblegum. Bought some soft and hard baits in pink that have been productive in other patterns.

RoboWorm products have been good producers for me. Picked up a few More different colors. Baitfish colors.

Can’t say enough good things about DT6’s and 10’s. Picked up a few DT8’s in my three top producers.

Picked up a few of Berkeley’s version of the pop-r’s. Nothing to say why they won’t work. River smallies should love them also.

Nothing earth shattering for me. Just keeping it simple.

Forcing myself to learn the A rig this spring. Caught a 3' musky on it the other day. I expect to catch a bunch more of them through the spring. They're VERY cooperative in cold water. This rig will allow me to land most of them on my bass tackle. Hopefully some big bass will cooperate too.

Had to revise this one ~

Last season the Megabass Vision 110 +1 Jr. was the new deal.

This time around it's a HD Goby & a Soft Bladed Vibrating Jig.

One of my kids gave me some Googan baits for Christmas.   Between my reaction to the few videos I have seen.....and the reaction they get here....Googan has never been on my radar.  I have to admit, though that their beaver/bug (Bandito?) is catching fish.  And the spinnerbaits seem well made and have some nice touches, like the small band at the tie bend to keep your knot in place. Will post back soon as the spinnerbait bite should be blowing up soon.

The Head Hunter Fire Tail Craw appears to be a very innovative crankbait that doesn't copy other crankbaits on the market!  It's $7.95.

I’ve never fished a jig, that’s what I’m planning to learn this year. I have NO idea what I’m doing so hopefully it works out haha I picked up a couple Beast Coast 3/8 Gorilla swim jigs and a couple Beast Coast 3/8 Lil Magnum jigs. Maybe I’ll grab a couple pitchin/Arkie style jigs too. For trailers I got some Missile Baits Baby D Bombs and Berkley chigger craws, as well as some Gambler EZ Vibez.

Same with their jerkbait but it is a fish catcher for sure and for a few dollars less.

I was able to try out the new "Agent E" from Berkley this winter. Very similar to the Dark Sleeper, maybe a little more compact, but works much the same.  The best news is that its made of Powerbait and you get 2 lures for about the same price as a Sleeper ~

I finally broke down and bought some of the Powerbait Pitboss.  I'm sure they're fine but I sure want the Havoc back

They’re not new but I did not get a chance to fish them in 2021 or prior seasons.

Berkley’s Gilly has my attention. Have 2 packs of each size so we’ll see how that goes. I can’t imagine it being a total flop but I haven’t heard much about the bait from others.

This year I really want to throw hard baits more. Squarebills especially but jerkbaits and topwaters too. I tend to avoid them because they don’t produce for me the same ways plastics or spinnerbaits do. There were a few outings in the fall where I threw a squarebill and got a few big bites. I want to see if there’s more to it. It’s just an efficient way of covering water and different from a spinnerbait.

My local Ollie’s has a bunch of Havoc, I don’t know where they got it from.

I think I'm good on baits for a while.  At least until I lose a few in some brush piles.

I bought a couple of Berkley Frittside crankbaits in different sizes to try. Got them in the Spring Craw color to try this Spring.

BC makes good stuff.  You can pitch and flip the lil mags.
