Dallas is technically favored by 3.5 on the road, so yes, if Tampa won it would be an upset since they are considered the underdog. I heard that the Cowboys are 1-5 this season on grass. They finished 12-5, so all 12 of their wins came on turf. Raymond James Stadium is outdoor grass. I think there's a real possibility that McCarthy gets canned if they don't win at least one playoff game. 1 Quote

Super User gim Posted January 11, 2023 Super User Posted January 11, 2023 Isn't looking good for the Dolphins or Ravens. Tua Tagovailoa has been declared OUT. Lamar Jackson is not looking too good either. The Dolphins beat the Bills in Miami and lost to them in Buffalo late in regulation when they played them this season, but both games were with Tua at QB. Without him, they aren't going to be competitive. The Ravens probably stand a better chance at Cincy but without Jackson it will also be an uphill battle. 2 Quote

The Ravens need to A- run, run, run the ball with a fresh JK Dobbins; and B- play lights out on defense. With two OL starters out, the Ravens need to pressure Burrow and make him pay for every pass. Granted, they may not have opened the playbook all the way last week, but the Ravens stymied the Bengals offense in the second half. What killed Baltimore was two picks and a fumble recovered for a TD in the first half. Plus, the Bengals played all their starters while QB Tyler Huntley, TE Mark Andrews, RB J.K. Dobbins and G Kevin Zeitler rested. Even missing Jackson and four starter (all on offense), the final score of 27-16 would have been a lot closer without three TD’s scored off turnovers. I'm not saying or guaranteeing a Ravens victory on Sunday, but I think they have a better chance than most pundits are giving them. 1 Quote
Ski Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Not going to beat a drum about the Jaguars, However they sure made a great turn around thanks to finally getting a good coach and the owner spending 175 million on free agency the leagues most this past year. They have a chance to beat the Chargers @ home primetime Sat night. However if they were to win they have to travel to K.C. and that's where the buck stops. 1 Quote

Not necessarily though if a lower seed like the Ravens or Dolphins pull off an upset. Something like that would send them to Buffalo or Cincy in the divisional round instead. Either way, they're probably toast lol 1 Quote

bassguytom Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 The 49ers are a good team. Nice to see the the kid who was the last pick in the draft doing well. Hopefully the Eagles will be at full strength after the bye. 2 Quote

He lives in my town. I’ve had a couple beers with him years ago when my wife worked for a mortgage company. He owns an insurance agency in town. Quote

I’m in no way a McCarthy fan but ESPN did a comparison of this years season between the cowboys and packers. They had darn near the same numbers in every team respective with the packers having Aaron Rodgers for the full season but the cowboys being without Dak Prescott for I believe 6 games this season. BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 15, 2023 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 15, 2023 I don't get why people are ga-ga over Gino Smith. He never impressed me, and the 4th quarter was indicative of the reasons why. He's not franchise QB quality, and certainly not playoff worthy. With the QB rich talent in the upcoming draft, I see no reason to keep him on the Seahawk's payroll next season. But they'll keep him, I'm sure. Pete Carrol seems to have a man-crush on him. 1 Quote

He's mediocrity at best and better than Wilson was in Denver. I'm hearing he'll be back. Agree though, not Superbowl winning caliber, just a nice comeback story " Smith" Seattle has a really impressive young class and will definitely need a QB moving forward. Quote
