Super User roadwarrior Posted March 14, 2022 Super User Posted March 14, 2022 Well now...The GOAT has made quite a splash with the announcement of his return. It's only March and I'm READY TO RUMBLE! Quote
ChrisO91 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 *Disclosure, not trying to start an argument* I thought he was going to play at least another season before he announced his retirement, so this doesn't surprise me. He has shown that he is still very capable and a top 5 QB in the NFL. Here's my issue, why do it the way he did? I get he still has the fire to compete. But to say he has still has something to prove?? What exactly?10 Super Bowl appearances. 7 Super Bowl wins. 5 Super Bowl MVP's. 3 League MVP's. All Time leader in wins, TD passes, yards, and completions in the regular season. GOAT, arguably yes(but I'm not here to argue). #BillsMafia 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 16, 2022 Global Moderator Posted March 16, 2022 He saw that his competition in the NFC is A-A-ron and??? Got to like those odds to make a deep playoff run barring injury to key players. Quote

I can't post it here, because I would like to stay an active member. 3 Quote

They are only paying him a little over 1 million next year. So when he's suspended, he wont lose much in game checks either. His lawyers gotta split 230 million at least 22 different ways now 1 Quote
NavyToad Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 As a Ravens fan, I’m still ticked about what they did to Ray Rice. Quarterbacks are $pecial. KMA. Quote
BassNJake Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 I mean ... craziest off season ever Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins, who's next? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 23, 2022 Author Super User Posted March 23, 2022 Terrible loss for the Chiefs. 2 Quote
Super User Bird Posted March 23, 2022 Super User Posted March 23, 2022 Monstrous loss for KC. This McDaniel guy in Miami is quite aggressive. Lol Quote

Hill wanted more money than they could afford, likely would have held out and been a distraction and who knows how much effort he would have given in what would have become his final year of his contract. Then at the end of the season he would become a free agent and they'd have gotten nothing for him. Teams were shutting Hill down, bracketing him with 2 high safety coverage and the secondary targets not named Kelce couldn't get open in 1 on 1 coverage. Now they'll have better secondary targets and hopefully draft a great receiver to be able to spread things around more. If they don't fix their defense, keeping Hill would have been a moot point anyways. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 30, 2022 Global Moderator Posted March 30, 2022 Well they changed the overtime rules based on that buffalo vs KC playoff game. Still leaves a bit to be desired but better than before 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 30, 2022 Global Moderator Posted March 30, 2022 I wish they'd just left it. It didn't change for regular season, why then does it change for the play offs? Win in regulation and make it so OT doesn't matter (like don't allow a team to score a FG in 13 seconds). Same thing happened to the Chiefs in the AFC championship against the Patriots a few years ago. I don't think the outcome would have been any different then because their defense could do nothing to stop TB12 all night, no way it was going to suddenly change in OT just because they got the ball. Super User A-Jay Posted March 30, 2022 Super User Posted March 30, 2022 What if the D takes the first pass in for a pick - 6 ? Do then kick it back to the other team 'so they can have another try' Or is the game over ? #bushleague Not a fan A-Jay Quote

Regular season overtime rules share the same stinky bathroom as the playoff rules. I mean, ties have to be the stupidest thing in professional competition 1 Quote

But Rice was on tape knocking his wife (then fiancée) out and dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator. That wasn’t alleged-it was documented. Quote

I bought a used Ray Rice jersey on Ebay a couple years ago. I don’t condone what he did, but I think the NFL screwed him. I like professional football, I hate the NFL and Roger Goodell. Goodell caved to public pressure back then - now look where we are. Quote
