Super User PhishLI Posted March 11, 2022 Super User Posted March 11, 2022 Who's first to market with a horrifying parachuting spider lure? What's next? Invasive flying crocodiles? I wonder if fishing in a suit of armor is the pits? Yeesh. Quote
Fallser Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Last year it was the 17 year Locust, now it's giant spiders. How the hell am I going to tie a fly to imitate a giant spider. Nice fish attracting colors, though. Come to think of it, I did tie a fly to match a large water spider, I saw smallmouth chasing on the lake I go to in Northeast Ontario. Here's a picture of it. Change the body with the longer part in the back, then match the colors. How could I turn it into a lure that I'm sure will be in great demand..... 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 11, 2022 Global Moderator Posted March 11, 2022 That spider lure was a hot seller for a minute when it came out. I'm such a sissy about spiders I don't think I could touch it to tie it on. 7 Quote
ironbjorn Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 There's zero chance of me ever tying on a spider lure. That's gross. 1 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted March 11, 2022 Super User Posted March 11, 2022 Ran across this fishing spider last year. This was just a little fella. Bout a 3" leg span. I've seen 'em quite a bit bigger. Quote

If Bass pro shops or any other fishing outlet offered you a $2000.00 gift certificate to eat just one of these spiders, would you? 1 Quote
