I was watching Drowning Mona last night, A movie I watched because I am Danny Deviate's fan, I like him so much after I watched his movie Twins (1988), And I loved him when I meet him in person on a movie I was working with him. Anyways in movie last night I saw how some actor carry the spinning combo, And I remember maybe it is 3rth or 4rth times I saw they doing this in movies. Isn't there someone in entier cast and crew to tell them they shouldn't hold that fishing rod that way?

You can hold your pole in your hand any way that is comfortable.

That's probably true with a "pole", but if you fish with a rod put it together and

fish it correctly.

I had 1 of those long + 15' cane poles for decades. All I needed as the sundown shift came to docks & shoreline.  Way back time.  Loads of all fish all the time.  I lived in the good years.

Big pet peeve is when they make the clicking/cranking noise when reeling a modern spinning or casting reel that wouldn't make the noise ?
