And I'm not talking about what colors you have good luck with catching fish on, but what colors do you just have to buy?

We all know some baits and colors are definitely produced and marketed to catch us.

For me, it's that "crack" pattern like Lucky Craft puts out...the 150 MS Crack; Bandit makes one similar.

My other one is Citrus Shad...any brand. I don't know why I'm so drawn to these colors. I just have to buy them. It's like the Devil's Tower in Close Encounters of the 3rd kind. I'd sleep with these color crankbaits under my pillow if I thought my wife wouldn't find them.

But, both do catch fish for me too, so there's that.

So, what colors do you bite?

I am a big sucker for

"Ghost" patterns.

Clear-ish bodies with subtle colors and or a mostly subdued pattern.  Perch, Bluegill, alewife, and even red/brown/green crayfish deals.  Like this on topwater baits as well.

Doesn't hurt that there's a few of these in my possession that are sporting some well earned teeth marks.

What colors catch YOU?

Black-n-blue  & Watermelon Neon!

Every type of plastic I own have at least this two colors.

Black Neon is probably 3rd, Junebug Blue claw/tail 4th, Falcon Lake Craw 5th.

When it comes to T rigged baits  , I like purples june bug , bama bug... Spinnerbaits,  dull bait-fish patterns , not the bright whites and chartreuses that the bass are bombarded with except in spring . Cranks , bright colors deep then more natural shallow .

Junebug/chartreuse calls out to me every time. I'm particularly infatuated with Zoom's iteration.

The vast majority of mine are either June Bug or Red Shad, regardless of the shape and size.

I lean to purples, grape, junebug, and blues. Glitter versions also.

Red/orange/craw type colors. I know they're more of a seasonal thing, but I'm a sucker for these.

Just like A Jay, clear/ghost topwaters. Really like them and they actually do work great for me.

For soft plastics, the laminate colors get me.  For hardbaits, I go for ayu/herring/shad and their ghost counterparts.  Lucky Craft's new ghost minnow crack is stellar....

The Deal, by Z-Man.

Heck yeah. I'm a sucker for it but it does catch them.

Other colors; just way too many to name. I need to have a lot even though I only throw 2-3 colors. I'm sure many can relate

Soft plastics Smoke, Cinnamon and purple with all blue or purple neon always catches me.

Crank baits Shad and craw colors are hard to pass up.

Swimbaits, rainbow trout, baby bass and crappie.

Jigs, brown and purple.

Only buy greens when I know they are working, otherwise they don’t catch me.

Big fan of anything with purple in it. Junebug, redbug, green pumpkin, green pumpkin top and blue bottoms on creature baits. I love a brown and blue jig. Black and blue swimjigs.
