So im considering picking up a spool of trilene xt 6lb for very cheap...but its only available in green. Anybody use non clear mono for Ned rig leaders? Have you seen any negative affects?

Green is my backup when I can't get clear. I don't believe it makes any difference. I'm currently spooled with green this week

I use 15lb sufix 832 braid in neon lime color and have no issues whatsoever even in clear quarry type waters .  I will admit one time I had a decent size bass swim to my line near the top that I could see, swam up to it and sat there a second then turned around and swam away, so they definitely know something is in their neighborhood that shouldn’t be.

I have C & R the same fish in my bay for at least 40 years.  So they know what the sound, shape & outline of my boat is.

Suzuki is right on on their intelligence about lines.  12# braided is really small. Bass can see green color very well.  I really should find out what color they DO NOT see well.  I have too much advantage as it is.

No worries. Shouldn't make a difference. I use both green

and clear lines, not seen a difference in hook ups.
